Microsoft has confirmed today that Xbox Game Pass will provide Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the upcoming game in the well-known series, on day one. Following an early announcement earlier today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will come later this year on Microsoft’s gaming subscription service, according to an official Xbox Wire blog post.  In another teaser, Microsoft has revealed that Black Ops 6 will be available on both PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass on consoles.

In response to inquiries over Call of Duty’s accessibility on Xbox Game Pass, the upcoming Call of Duty installation has been confirmed as a Game Pass release.

Microsoft has been discussing whether or not to include new Call of Duty titles in Game Pass, according to a story that surfaced earlier this month. Some employees of the firm were worried that Game Pass would take away from the money that Call of Duty sales typically bring in. At an average price of roughly $70 per copy, Activision has sold more than 20 million copies of Call of Duty over the years.

Microsoft hasn’t disclosed a release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, so there are still several months until the game’s eventual Game Pass release. It’s also unclear whether the firm intends to increase the cost of its Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Activision’s current release date for Black Ops 6, which takes place during the Gulf War in the 1990s, is planned for late October.

On June 9th, following the main Xbox summer showcase, Microsoft will host a special stream when they will reveal more information about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Along with the next Doom game, there will be an announcement on a new Gears of War at the main Xbox event. The release schedules for several future Xbox titles, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Avowed, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, will also be revealed during the event.
