Xiaomi launches its first Android Go smartphone

Xiaomi posted on its official Twitter account about the upcoming Android phone that has been introduced as the company’s first Android Go phone.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Go has a 5 inch with a resolution of 1280 x 720 HD and an aspect ratio of 16:9 LCD display. The Redmi Go has dimensions of 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35 mm with 137g. It runs with Android 8.1 Oreo and has Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with Adreno 308 GPU and the maximum speed is up to 1.4GHz. The storage has a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM that can be expanded up to 128GB through MicroSD card slot. The rear camera has 8MP with an aperture of f/2.0, HDR and LED flash while the front camera has 5MP with f/2.2 aperture. The battery capacity has 3,000mAh with 5V1A in-box charger. The phone also includes dual mic noise reduction.

The company has not yet announced the release date of the Redmi Go that costs $91.51 (€80). The available colors are Black and Blue.
