You can now send a minute long voice message on your WhatsApp status

WhatsApp now allows its users to send a minute long voice message on their status. This feature is currently available for the ones who use the latest beta version of WhatsApp but it is still unclear regarding when this will be available on the stable channel.

The instant messaging platform which has billions of users all across the world will now allow users to send voice messages up to 1 minute on their status updates. The current version of WhatsApp allows users to share 30 second long voice messages as status updates. According to a recent report by WABetaInfo, this functionality has been upgraded to support voice messages up to a minute long, which is double the previous limit. 

This new feature will be really helpful for the ones who share status updates in the form of voice notes. Users will no longer have to split there audio recordings into multiple parts. This means that the feature will help save time and make the process of communication much more convenient. 

Some users who use the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android and IOS can now send a voice note which is a minute long as their status update. To listen to these voice notes, you may have to update your WhatsApp to the latest version. 

How to send voice notes as status updates?

Open WhatsApp on your phone and head over to the ‘Updates’ tab from the bottom bar. Tap on the pencil-like icon. Now, tap on the microphone icon on the bottom right of the screen and you will be able to record a voice note, which can then be shared as a status update.
