Last July 28, YouTube confirmed the released of the new “Dark Theme” feature on Android devices which is first launched for the iOS devices.
According to 9To5Google, The YouTube’s Dark Theme is more on darker gray rather than a pure black. All the sections of the app will turn dark mode including its background, search pages, and settings. Android users can access the new feature on the app’s settings. They need to click the General section on the settings and select the “Dark Theme” option to enable the new feature. Users can also turn the feature off by toggling the “Dark Theme” option. Channels are not under the dark theme, it will remain colorful as it is because the dark mode is focusing on its video page.
The “Dark Theme” new feature is rolling out on selected Android users and still working for its widely available.
