Last year, YouTube added a dark mode option to the desktop website last year, much to late-night viewers’ (which is most of us) pleasure. But users of their mobile app also wanted the feature for their devices, so YouTube so kindly granted their wishes.

To activate the theme, go to your profile and select Settings then you’ll see a toggle for the dark mode option. Tap on the toggle and it will immediately switch out to dark mode.

The feature is now available on iOS but Android users may have to wait a bit as YouTube says they’ll be rolling out dark mode for the Android “soon”.

YouTube is the latest app to add a dark mode as users are spending more time on their phones, and the darker interfaces are much easier on the eyes and can help minimize screen glare. Other apps with the feature include Twitter, Reddit, and Telegram X among others.
