Amazon Music launches an AI powered playlist generator called ‘Maestro’ – a feature similar to Spotify’s AI playlist generator. Currently Maestro is available to certain users in the beta version of Amazon Music.

Spotify has announced a new AI-powered music playlist generator for it’s premium users earlier this month. Similarly, Amazon Music has come up with a new feature that makes use of Artificial Intelligence technology to help you build playlists to “make it easier and way more fun to build playlists you want, when you want.”

Get to know more about ‘Maestro’

Amazon Music’s AI powered playlist generator will allow you to create playlists with the help of simple prompts entered by you. The feature also works with emojis, sounds and activities. Just like Spotify’s AI playlist generator, you can save the playlists generated if you want to listen to it later on. You can also share the generated playlists with others.

With AI being prone to hallucinations, Amazon announces that “the technology behind Maestro is new and won’t always get it right the first time.” Safeguards have been implemented by the company to block inappropriate prompts and offensive language.

Where is ‘Maestro’ available right now?

As of now, Maestro is available in the beta mode of Amazon. The feature has reached out to a handful of users in the United States. Currently, Maestro is available for Free, Prime and Unlimited Amazon Music subscribers. You can access the feature on both Android and iOS. Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can listen to the playlists generated and save them in the blink of an eye. However, Prime and Free members have to listen to 30-second previews of their playlists before they can save them.

Amazon has plans to expand this new feature to more users all across the world.
