About a year ago, Google released its much-anticipated Pixel phone in the market and it did not disappoint the users. With the success of Google’s Pixel, the company has invested it in making a new generation Pixel Phone.

On October 4th, of the same day Pixel was released last year, Google will unveil two of its newest devices, the Pixel 2 which is manufactured by LG while Pixel 2 XL is HTC-made.

Leaks are not a surprise since the invention of technology. Notorious for leaking gadgets even before the manufactures had a chance to do it, Evan Bass exposed photos of the new Pixel 2 and Pixel XL on his twitter account.

Pixel 2 and Pixel XL is codenamed as Walleye and Taimen respectively and will be released on October 9 for Pixel 2 and November 15 for XL both preceded by preorder periods.
Here are the highlights of Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL:

Physical Design

Although Google Pixel was not the most visually attractive, the next gen phone will change the game of its flagship. Showing a small amount of bezel seems to be the trend in the mobile world and it is expected to take place in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

On the same account and user that leaked the front-rear of the phone, Bass did not leave out the back part of the device. Showing off in Kinda Blue, Just Black, and Clearly White, Pixel 2 will be sold with 64GB and 128GB of storage and priced at $649 and $749, respectively. While Pixel 2 XL will only come in two colors, the Black and White and Just Black, and is also available for 64GB or 128GB storage priced at $849 and $949, respectively.

On the other specs, Pixel 2 has a 5-inch Full HD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio while Pixel 2 XL has a 6-inch QHD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio with full HD AMOLED screen and Gorilla Glass protection.

Software, battery life and OS
With 4GB of RAM and running on Android 8.0 Oreo, Pixel 2 and XL is reported to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 powers on both phones and 2,700mAh battery on Pixel 2 versus a bigger battery of 3,520mAh on Pixel 2 XL. According to reports, Pixel 2 and 2 XL will feature a better battery, more storage, and a better camera than its rivals. Both phones will support e-sim that will enable them to switch to another network without having to change sims with both microSD card slots

Camera
Google Pixel camera has been compared to the iPhone 7 and it claimed to have a small difference. The single-lens, 12.3-megapixel rear f/1.8 aperture cameras and 7- to 8-megapixel front cameras are said to have a Google-designed imaging chip, with optical image stabilization as well as software filters that include an iPhone Portrait Mode-like bokeh effect somehow similar to iPhone 7.

“The phone was designed inside and out to be smart. Pixel’s camera is better than the iPhone 7 and is the best smartphone camera anyone has made” Brian Rakowski of Google said.

Nothing sure comes out until we get our hands on those devices but we are sure Google will not dismay our high expectations for Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
