Instagram to add tool that informs users of their time spent on the app

Instagram looks to be following Google’s steps in improving their users’ time management, as they are working on a new tool called “Usage Insights” that lets you see how long you’ve been on the app. The tool was found in Instagram’s Android app code by app researcher Jade Manchun Wong.

Later in the day, CEO Kevin Systrom confirmed the news on Twitter.

While they have confirmed the news of the development of Usage Insights, Instagram has yet to announce any further details.
