Take out your Android phone and open WhatsApp.

  • To access more choices, tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  • Go to Account > Settings.

  • After entering your phone number in its entirety in an international format, click “Delete My Account” to confirm.

When you delete your account, all of your WhatsApp groups are deleted along with your chat history. It also removes you from the channel as an admin or follower, although your changes are still available to followers. It also erases your Google Drive backup. According to WhatsApp, it might take up to 30 days for all of your data to be removed from the service.
