Earlier today, Twitter has launched Bookmarks a new option for users who want to save tweets for later viewing.

It might be similar to the Like feature in that your liked tweets are archived. The problem though, as some users have stated, is that once you like a tweet it is made public to followers and they can also view your previously liked tweets on your profile. Twitter has stated that this kind of “save” feature has been highly requested among users.

The new feature can be seen when pressing a new button that replaces the one for direct messaging. The button also gives users the option to share the tweet via DM or outside of Twitter. Press your profile icon on the top left and the “Bookmarks” button can be found to view saved tweets .Tweets can also be removed from the Bookmarks list anytime and the list is only viewable to the user.

Twitter is rolling out Bookmarks for the iOS and Android, the mobile twitter site, and Twitter Lite.
