According to the report of Variety, Snapchat will launch a long-form story which is made by a celeb-backed-up, Hooked.
The new chat-fiction was hailed “Dark Matter”, a five-chapter science fiction mystery thriller set that premiered last Friday, October 26th in Hooked’s story on Snapchat’s Discover Page. The story is all about the South Asian American Standord student, Tasneem, who has a twin sister that has a mysterious death. The thriller set includes a subsequent chapter that was released daily through October 30th. According to Hooked, the new feature has a fiction format that is similar as a text messaging thread which is also included custom illustrations with “reminiscent of 1940s radio dramas” voice-over.
CEO Prerna Gupta, confirmed that the total of the scripts has 32,000 words. Gupta also added “I think it’s fair to say this is the longest chat fiction story. It’s certainly the longest one we’ve ever produced for Hooked.”
